The Polish 7th Pomeranian Coastal Defence Brigade is a mechanized infantry brigade of the Polish Army (based at Slupsk).

It was formed in 2001 of the 7th Pomeranian Mechanized Brigade (of the 8th Coastal Defence Division). Now it is a subordinate brigade of the 12th Mechanized Division based at Szczecin. It bear traditions of a disbanded Polish amphibious assault unit, the 7th Coastal Defence Division (known as the Blue Berets), therefore it is sometimes referred as the Marines of Poland, however, as for now (2007) there are no plans of creating a Marine unit in the Polish Army, and the 7th Brigade only carries limited-scale exercises of amphibious transport. There are, however, numerous suggestions of creating a Marine unit of the Brigade for the future.

It consists of the following subunits:

  • Command Battalion
  • 1st Mech Battalion with BWP-1s
  • Artillery battalion with 2S1 122mm self propelled howitzers
  • Multiple Rocket Launcher Group with 122mm RM-70 and BM-21s
  • Air Defence Group with ZU-23-2s and Zu23-2Ts
  • Anti tank Battery with ATGM's
  • Reconnaissance Company with SKOT R-2AMs and R-3Ms
  • Engineer Company
  • Maintenance Company
  • Medical Company.

The Polish Navy also maintains several Naval Infantry detachments for Base and coastal security duties.
