Neil Sawyer
Why no mention of the recent editorship of the journalistic genius that is Neil Sawyer? Sacked after three months... oh dear.
[edit] This is somewhat biased
"it is the only newspaper in the UAE that is not beholden to special interest groups, whether it be major business families, or the government, and as such has become a trusted source of news in Dubai"
Although it is fair to say that it's not entirely beholden to government/ruling family/power interests, the idea that it is 'trusted' is laughable. Since much of its news consists of stories designed to fire up the 'whinging expats' and inflame the relocated Daily Mail readers, it's hardly respected. Yes, there is little government interference, but that is largely because it is so trivial as to be beneath notice: the governmnet doesn't care if tempers flare over the new rules for the public swimming pools for residents in Emirates Hills, really it doesn't. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.201.177.235 (talk) 17:21, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
