[edit] Confusion
This page is a confusing way of organizing this information. First, a good number of these cartridges are *not* 7mm, but 7.62mm, or 8mm. Furthermore, when listing the calibers in inches, there are several .277", .308" and .311" calibers listed under .284" designation.
Suggest looking into "Cartridges of the World" by Frank C. Barnes or http://www.chuckhawks.com for examples of how to organize calibers in a better manner.
[edit] caliber
Switch the .276 Pedersen to the 7.2mm section, as it has a 7.2mm diameter bullet (.284 inches). .276 is the distance between the lands of the barrel.
[edit] References
I added a section for references. I think it helps when people have confusion or discrepancy about the actual dimensions. Arthurrh 21:16, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Size sections
This article was broken into several sections to make it easier to find the cartridge people are looking for. The sections are named based on actual measurements, not on terms used in naming, marketing, etc. Please be sure to be factual when changing such section titles. Arthurrh 20:24, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
