20,000 Japanese troops and 50 tanks invade Pa Tou Lou Tzu, a strategic point along the Great Wall of China (what becomes known as Defense of the Great Wall one of the earliest battle or "incidents" between Chinese and Japanese troops). With a force of only seven men, the Chinese outpost held off the invading Japanese army for five days.
