[edit] Disputes

I have created a centralized discussion page at User talk:Elonka/Hungarian-Slovakian experiment. If you have concerns about the behavior of editors or the way that certain articles are being edited, please post them there. Thanks, Elonka 06:47, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Block

You have been temporarily blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

I have temporarily blocked this account, since it seems to be engaged in edit-wars. Please, you must participate in discussion rather than just reverting. You must also cease using uncivil edit summaries. Your block will be up in 15 minutes. At that time, I encourage you to participate in the above Hungarian-Slovakian page that we have set up. It would also be nice if you participated as a named account rather than as an anon. Thanks, Elonka 12:16, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Why you do not enter than MarkBA? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nmate (talkcontribs) 16:00, April 17, 2008
Hey y'all, shut up and listen before whining. I do not care what you think about my person, but these "sock" accusations are a plain lie. I took a look and my conclusion is: Only because someone quacks similarly and has similar interests doesn't necessarily mean the same person. Just stay outta my way and everything will be cool. Deal? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.99.121.251 (talkcontribs) 21:47, April 17, 2008
Okay, both of you listen to me please. Nmate, since the MarkBA account is not blocked, and has not edited since April 12, he would still be free to edit as an anon as long as he was abiding by policy. If any of the anon actions were considered to be disruptive, then the anons could be blocked, and MarkBA (if he were the controller of those accounts) could be put under restrictions whereby he was required to use only his named account. This is because there is a clause at WP:SOCK that it is forbidden to use alternate accounts to "avoid scrutiny".
78.99.121.251, I don't know if you use other accounts, but I do have to insist that your edits be in accordance with policy. This means that you must be civil, and you must not engage in edit-warring. Also, whenever you make a controversial edit, be it a revert or something like a removal of a WikiProject template, you must engage at that article's talkpage, to explain what you did. If you do not abide by Wikipedia policies, then you risk having your account access blocked. But as long as you do abide by policies, and engage in good-faith discussion whenever there is a dispute, you are free to continue editing anonymously. Does this make sense? --Elonka 23:16, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
