[edit] List of sexually active popes

Please do not change material withoug explaining why in the edit summary. In the the case of lead paragraphs, it is probably best to discuss changes on the article discussion page prior to reversion. Student7 (talk) 14:34, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I guess I am going to reverse the question - could you please explain what was wrong with our edits that we had fought over for many months that were in the lead paragraph? I don't deny that they may need changing. It was done by committee as most lengthy edits are in Wikipedia. Perhaps you could explain the necessity for changing them on the discussion page while they are fresh in your mind. I think you are asking me to defend your deletions which I don't understand at this early juncture.
BTW, I nearly cited you for vandalism but the positive comment left by another editor above made me decide otherwise. Student7 (talk) 14:57, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
There is nothing wrong with changing anything is Wikipedia. I am not trying to discourage you. The paragraph may well need shortening. There are (however) problems with wholesale axing that we may be able to discuss. You can discuss this freely on the article discussion page. Just put a new subsection (double equals on either side of a title), if you don't find one to your liking and explain your difficulty with it, as you have told me, and what you propose to do about it (at this point - to revert my edit!  :). I will answer there in more detail.
It's a little hard at first to work with other editors with differing viewpoints but it gets easier as you go on. A bit easier, BTW with place articles than religious ones. There are several of us who don't like this article at all because of its implied bias in the title. So other people have opinions too! But don't give up! Student7 (talk) 15:18, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
