Hey, I just wanted to say that I saw your edit to Talk:Black people and it seems like you have a good head on your shoulders. Have you considered getting a Wikipedia account? There are lots of benefits, including more capabilities as far as creating articles and other such things. Let me know if you have any questions. Photouploaded (talk) 23:25, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind words of welcome. I have edited in the past, and whilst I still browse Wikipedia for (perverse) pleasure, I'm disinclined to edit again. It's this kind of Napolean Complex, for example, that discourages me from participating.
Wikipedia seems too easily, and too often, to become the playground of rule-obsessed autocrats, ill-educated yobs, and extremist POV pushers. I understand that this is a predictable consequence of the laudable Wikipedia goal of open access and participation for all, and a kind of social application of Gresham's Law, but I still end up feeling like I'm bailing out the boat with a teaspoon while the tsunami is about to break over my head..... 78.86.33.152 (talk) 13:21, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
