[edit] Welcome

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. If you edit without a username, your IP address (78.32.143.113) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page. Again, welcome! swaq 19:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] April 2008

Sorry about that, it was a mistake (pressed the wrong button when checking for vandalism, and realised my mistake about two seconds later, but I couldn't find the edit in my contributions.) Thanks for following this up, — Werdna talk 16:25, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summaries

I would recommend filling in the edit summary field when making changes to articles. That way you can explain your edits, which may help avoid them being marked as vandalism. Thanks! swaq 19:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Preview button

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chryslerforever1988 (talkcontribs) 22:46, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Audi Navigation Plus do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.

The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'groups\.yahoo\.com' (link(s): http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/AudiNav/) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 14:40, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

[edit] MOS and numbers

Re: Audi S3. According to WP:MOSNUM:

In the body of an article, single-digit whole numbers (from zero to nine) are given as words; numbers of more than one digit are generally rendered as figures, and alternatively as words if they are expressed in one or two words (sixteen, eighty-four, two hundred, but 3.75, 544, 21 million). … Ordinal numbers are spelled out using the same rules as for cardinal numbers. The exception is ordinals for centuries, which may be expressed in digits (the 5th century CE; 19th-century painting).

This is the usual convention in written English [1]. Letdorf (talk) 12:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC).

[edit] AfD of Audi Navigation Plus

Hi there. I note that you removed the AfD tag from Audi Navigation Plus, citing an admin message. Can I ask which message this is (I reinstated the tag as the deletion debate appears still to be open)? Regards, Gr1st (talk) 10:06, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

The admin message - "For administrator use only: {{oldafdfull|page=Audi Navigation Plus|date=25 April 2008|result=keep" - is what I referred to. It is still there! Rgds, 78.32.143.113 (talk) 10:16, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
That is a convenience template included (but commented out) as a matter of course when any article is listed at AfD, and not any indication of whether an article should be kept or not. If the result of a debate is keep, the template is copied and pasted onto the article's talk page by the admin closing the debate. It is the second template down on this page, for example. The AfD message should remain in place until the issue is settled at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Audi Navigation Plus. Best, Gr1st (talk) 10:38, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
