From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you're going to edit shows, etc. based on the ghetto, then OPARK77, I suggest you at least learn a little bit about the hood before your fingers make you look foolish.

In regards to the death of the character Omar Little from the hbo series, the wire, you re-edited my post about Omar's killer, and Listed Kenard as a Stanfield Organization member under Michael Lee and listed Kenard as a drug dealer.

Kenard is a hopper, not a dealer. If you where from the hood, you would know the difference. Hoppers are free lancers, and not connected to anyone's crew. They work, until they get promoted from runner/hopper to dealer. Even then, they are listed as free lance until they hook up with a crew.

No where in the show is it ever shown or insinuated that Kenard got a promotion to dealer, and became an official member of the Stanfield organization.

The only person on Lee's corner is a member of the Stanfield organization is Michael Lee.

Kenard, Spyder, etc. None of them are members of the Stanfield Organization...Again, only Mike Lee is.

Generally if you want to leave me a message my talk page is a better place to reach me. I agree that hopper is a more commonly used descriptive slang term for the role that Kenard fills; however, according to the manual of style we write in a formal tone because this is an encyclopedia. Hopper is a slang term and is not suitable for an encyclopedia. I'd suggest you learn a little about our policies here before you engage in edit warring. In similar formal, logical style Kenard is involved in selling drugs therefore he is a drug dealer. The ghetto level connotations of this term are not appropriate for an encyclopedia; in wider society someone who sells drugs is considered a drug dealer. It follows that because Kenard sells drugs and is paid to do so by the Stanfield Organization that in the eyes of the law he is part of their criminal conspiracy - he is shown numerous times selling Stanfield bought drugs so he is a Stanfield drug dealer.--Opark 77 (talk) 21:56, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
I have started a discussion about this issue on the talk page of the Omar Little article so that other editors can participate.--Opark 77 (talk) 22:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
