[edit] Ayaan Hirsi Ali
Hi & Welcome to Wikipedia :D
The deal is this: Your contributions have been fine. The problem is that there have been so many right in a row; too many so quickly for an article on such a controversial person. We can all work together, but the pace of edits should probably slow down. Give each new phrase time to settle. E_dog95 Hi 11:45, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- To put a human face on it: like abortions, marital infidelities, child molestations, crimes and torts within the family and filing for divorce, and so many other real tragedies in our daily lives that we sometimes keep secret for as long as we can: the truth hurts. Best to get it out all in one blow.--76.220.202.205 (talk) 11:47, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] STOP
stop making large very POV edits to controversial articles without building a consensus on the talk page. your edits will be reverted back to the original article soon.--AgnosticPreachersKid (talk) 12:48, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Please specify the POV line items. Let's collaborate, brother, peer.--76.220.202.205 (talk) 12:51, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. --AgnosticPreachersKid (talk) 13:33, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Simply labeling attempts to label the references with appropriate titles and dates rather than just leaving them as raw URL's is not vandalism. It is clearly advancing the project in the direction it was intended to go it.--76.220.202.205 (talk) 13:38, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
-
- calling someone a village idiot is vandalism.--AgnosticPreachersKid (talk) 13:47, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Theo Van Gogh was referring to himself when he asked the question "Who would kill the village idiot?" In my humble opinion, his murderer was an idiot. As his murderer sits and rots his life away in jail, he would probably now agree.--76.220.202.205 (talk) 13:51, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry I am going to have to stop you there. I am going to highlight some words here.
"In my humble opinion"
- This is exactly why I removed what I did. if everyone put there opinions on wikipedia George W. Bush's page would be a mess. editors are not here to sprout their opinions.--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 14:00, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Calling in a convicted and jailed murderer an idiot is being POV? Especially one whose motivations were purely religious? That is news to me.--76.220.202.205 (talk) 14:04, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- I expect in his eyes and many others, he did the right thing, the attack was politically motivated, and to take the stereotypical Islamic fundamentalist view, him being jailed was a worthy sacrifice for the greater good, or something like that, so let us not pontificate on what people opinions are, wikipedia is not the place for speculation.--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 14:19, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- also purely religious is a loaded statement, your suggesting there that all actions that are based in faith are foolish.--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 14:20, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
