- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
-
- Copying and pasting unformatted blocks of text into several articles is the wrong way to add information to Wikipedia. Where did this article come from? There are copyright issues to consider. If you wrote it yourself then there will be a problem with original research. If there is information there that you feel should be there then you need to add it in a way that is consistent with the rest of the article. ... discospinster talk 15:42, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

- Unfortunately we can't just take your word for it that you have permission from the authors to copy their work here. From the page WP:Copyrights:
-
All works are copyrighted unless either they fall into the public domain or their copyright is explicitly disclaimed. If you use part of a copyrighted work under "fair use", or if you obtain special permission to use a copyrighted work from the copyright holder under the terms of our license, you must make a note of that fact (along with names and dates). It is our goal to be able to freely redistribute as much of Wikipedia's material as possible, so original images and sound files licensed under the GFDL or in the public domain are greatly preferred to copyrighted media files used under fair use. See Wikipedia:Boilerplate request for permission for a form letter asking a copyright holder to grant us a license to use their work under terms of the GFDL.
- This is the case even for works that are "error free". ... discospinster talk 02:13, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

- [de-indent] I personally don't need permission from the original authors, but Wikipedia do. The procedure is summarized in the block of text I quoted above. ... discospinster talk 13:40, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 04:45, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
