Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in The Secret (film). Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 16:32, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. IrishGuy talk 22:52, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue spamming you will be blocked from editing. WikiLen 08:40, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from an article. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. WikiLen 07:45, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "The Secret" edits

I reverted a long sequential edits you did. I did this for these reasons:

  • You gave no rational for any of your edits.
  • A good portion of your edits were reverting virtually all the of the extensive work that I did. (as mentioned above, you reverted without explanation.)
  • You have been warned three times about some of your edits appearing to be SPAM (one warning by myself) and you have never responded or defended yourself against these warnings.
  • Most importantly, you are doing these edits without signing on with an ID, suggesting disinterest in the collaborative nature of Wikipedia.

I encourage you to get into the collaborative spirit of Wikipedia. I note you have made positive contributions to this article and I would like you to continue to do so. Regarding your edits that I reverted, I support your putting them back in with comments on why the edits were done. I will reply back if I disagree, take your input seriously, and with the best of my creativity take your good ideas even further. If you need any help on doing this just click on "talk" next to my "wikiLen" ID at the History page — then enter your question (via Edit mode) at my User Talk page. Thanks for your interest... [edit] Evidence of SPAM

Evidence of SPAM by user, 76.169.138.26.

[edit] Attempts to use a redirect page

These edits below all created a link to www.thescienceofgettingrich.biz, a page that redirects to a Google Video of the The Secret film. Redirects are against Wikipedia policy. Additionally, the address, www.thescienceofgettingrich.net (".net" instead of ".biz") is referenced at the Google Video page—all suggesting SPAM relationships. Except where noted, the alleged SPAM edits were done at the The Secret page. WikiLen 05:32, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Other evidence of SPAM

  • 13:53, 16 November 2006 Added this sentence (in reference to the Larry King Live episode about The Secret): "The episodes are called 'Beyond Positive Thinking' or "The Power of Positive Thinking" and the panels have been rated exceptional and outstanding by Larry King himself."
