Attention:

This host, c-76-118-191-206.hsd1.nh.comcast.net, is registered to Comcast, an Internet service provider through which numerous individual users may connect to the Internet via proxy. This IP address may be reassigned to a different person when the current user disconnects.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.
IT staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

[edit] December 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to List of WLAN channels, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. KelleyCook (talk) 19:36, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Wi-Fi, without explaining the reason for the removal in the edit summary. Unexplained removal of content does not appear constructive, and your edit has been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

[edit] Wi-Fi edits

Hi and Welcome again to Wikipedia.

First of all I highly recommend that you sign up for a User Account. It does give you a few more useful features, such as a Watchlist. It also subconsciously makes people less likely to revert your changes. I would guess that at least 95% of vandalism comes from non-logged in accounts and many people including myself automatically assume that content deletes from an IP based account was nonconstructive.

From your edits, it is clear that you know what you are talking about with Wi-Fi. We all would really like to have your knowledge on-board.

The problem with some of your edits are not that others think they are wrong but quite simple that they are being done without a source. Until you get better at wiki editing, the easiest method is simply add after a change [http://authoritativeplace.com/somepage] or <ref>From page 172 of the book "Wireless Lan security" by so and so</ref>. And then someone else will pretty up the formatting. If you need to remove something that is purely wrong. Do so and mention why you removed it on the talk page.

And yes we know that the Wi-Fi pages are in disarray and chock full of misinformation. I've been working on fixing a lot of them, though between school and work I am fairly busy in the real world. The WPA/WPA2 page for example is horrendously wrong in many regards.

Any other questions please leave a message at my talk page -- KelleyCook (talk) 21:20, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
