The easiest way to make a suggestion for multiple pages is to check on the page's "discussion" section (see the tab at the top) whether there is a Wikiproject associated for that page, and make the suggestion on the page associated with that Wikiproject.

As for towns, a lot of pages on US towns were initially created automatically from census data (which is why you see a lot of demographics). As the pages "grow", the history section will eventually be added, but it requires a volunteer to look up (and verify) the information, and to write the section. Wikipedia is best viewed as a "work in progress": what you're seeing is our current best draft but, as you point out, there is a lot of work still to do.

Bluap (talk) 04:55, 19 December 2007 (UTC) Thank you for your rapid response - as the ex-informations systems auditor that I am, I need to ask if you provide the volunteers with a checklist of facts that a township article should contain. Even better, all wiki articles dealing with history would benefit from a standardized format (no need for connecting prepositions, etc), to include such important facts as a list of townships absorbed from each parent county. Wikipedia is a big help, but it is still hard to figure out, for example, in which NY county an ancestor was born, when the county covering the townships was changed multiple times.

[edit] Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia! It looks like you're doing some historical research? Family tree? You asked a question on the Savage, Minnesota talk page about Hamilton appearing in Houston County and not Scott County. Hamilton did not incorporate a town until 1890 and actually was in Glendale Township, so its recorded as Glendale from 1860-1890(?) and likely never got recorded as Hamilton since they renamed the city a few times. Today Savage occupies everything that was Glendale. So look for Scott County and look for Glendale or Savage. .:DavuMaya:. 17:38, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
