If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so on Wikipedia:Sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! — Yavoh 00:19, 3 December 2007 (UTC) {{helpme}} The terminology used in the article I corrected was not acceptable. As I explained on the article's talk page: "the mentally handicapped Timmy" is unacceptable for two reasons: one, the term "handicapped" is demeaning, as the root of the word comes from the act of begging by holding one's cap in one's hand for money; and two, the person should always come before the disability. The appropriate term would be "Timmy, who has a cognitive disability." For more information on why this is please visit http://www.disabilityisnatural.com/peoplefirstlanguage.htm

Please feel free to take the information to the talk page in the future, as you did this previous time. For what it's worth, I've reinstated your version, as I think it was just as good. The Evil Spartan 05:47, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I am not trying to limit your editing ability, however I am not the only editor who feels that a direct source needs to be stated before the words "cognitive disability" can be added. please use the talk page, before we get into an edit war.Coffeepusher (talk) 21:04, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from South Park. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Donald Albury 00:27, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
