Hi! I noticed you made a change to Thomas Andrews, adding the fact that Andrews planned to have more boats on the ship but was overruled by the Ismays. This is not actually correct. Andrews is not known to have said a word about the boats at any time whatsoever. On the other hand, the senior designer, Alexander Carlisle, is known to have planned for more boats, but acquiesced when the Ismays wanted more room on the boat deck for passengers. He said at Lord Mersey's hearing after the disaster (when asked why he didn't challenge the Ismays' ruling), "I was very soft that day". Later on he said, "I was very weak".

I wonder if the belief that Andrews did this doesn't come from the movie Titanic. In that movie, many things that were actually done by Lord Pirrie and by Carlisle were attributed to Andrews so as to simplify the action. In fact, some things that were done by Andrews in real life were attributed to J. Bruce Ismay in the movie. The amount of error in that film... --Charlene 10:07, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
