User talk:75.62.7.22
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. --Quiddity 07:40, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Question
May I ask how you found the requests for arbitration on your first edit, and contributed to the case on Betacommand?—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 08:08, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- I used normal Wikipedia navigation and editing functions like anyone else, to reach and edit those pages. It's not my first edit--my IP address changed because of an ISP problem a few days ago. I was on a different address before that. I noted the address change in the arb case.[1] 75.62.7.22 08:33, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Universal Press Syndicate Template
I fully support you in that, or at least we can change the layout of the template so it's less messy, and then again we can start Universal Press Syndicate comics (break it down into categories). Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! -- iguana_nirvana14 (talk · contribs)

Thank you for your input, but I'm disinclined to follow the advice of an anonymous IP address since you could be any number of people who decided to log-out and try to anonymously swing support for your side. Pardon me if I seem suspicious, but sockpuppetry is a common problem. This is especially so since you seem somewhat informed of the situation from the start. I'm going to go into a bit more detail, since I see someone else has also been concerned by your apparent knowledge. You should consider creating an account and logging in. It would enable you to establish an identity to which people could establish some meaning, however light. Until you do so though, pardon me for having doubts as to your integrity. Sad to say, several of the members of the WP:CHESS have been less than forthright and honest in the past, so I'm leery to trust that you're not one of them. FrozenPurpleCube 13:18, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion. I know that some users prefer the anonymity of nicknames like "FrozenPurpleCube" but for now I'm ok with continuing to edit under my real IP address. 75.62.7.22 15:11, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well, you're welcome to your personal identity being private, in fact, I prefer people to keep their personal business out of Wikipedia as much as possible. WP:WHY does give some valid reasons to log-in though. FrozenPurpleCube 17:41, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
