[edit] October 2007
I have a few questions for you regarding your recent edits...
1. Why do you think there are trailers for "The Great Mouse Detective", "The Sword in the Stone" and "Sleeping Beauty" on the 1986 VHS of "Alice in Wonderland" (the one in the cardboard slipcover)? Ryanasaurus0077 and Marco both have it, and it just goes straight to the Classics logo after the FBI warnings.
2. Why do you think Marco doesn't have the copies of "Robin Hood" and "Dumbo" with the "Walt Disney and You" promo (and in the case of "Dumbo", the 1983 Neon Mickey instead of the 1984 Classics logo)? Imaxination80 said that his Beta copy of "Dumbo" was printed on November 14, 1985, so Marco's VHS copy MUST have the Neon Mickey! And why do you think he doesn't have the copy of "Pinocchio" with the trailer for "The Black Cauldron"?
3. What makes you think the red FBI warnings are orange? Videolover326 on YouTube says that those warnings look red to him, and Imaxination80 also says that they're red, so I have to agree with them. (BTW, the red warnings you mention are actually the dark red warnings from 1985.)
4. Why do you think the BV logo is not on the 1997 VHS of "The Jungle Book"? I remember seeing that VHS a few years ago, and I remember seeing the BV logo on there.
5. Why would I think that the previews you mention for "Cool Runnings" are real? You probably have a later print.
6. Why do you think the copy of "The Sword in the Stone" that I mentioned on my user page is the March 24, 1986 edition? It comes in the white clamshell case, so it has to be the edition released when "Sleeping Beauty" came out!
7. Why do you think those two copies of "Alice in Wonderland", which I also mentioned on my user page, are from 10/14/86 and 12/23/86 (respectively)? I say they're from 2/5/88 and 10/4/88!

1. Every VHS is sold in a clamshell, so this has to. I have never seen that copy before, but believe since GMD came out in 1986 as Disney's 26th animated feature in July 1986, whereas "Alice in Wonderland" came out May 1986, so I say that there is a trailer for "The Great Mouse Detective". I also say that there are previews for "The Sword in the Stone" and "Sleeping Beauty" on there because they always have a trailer for their VHS release. If they have only one movie released in the Classics series for a year, then they could've had a trailer for that at the beginning of the movie. However, if they have more than one movie released in the Classics series for a year, then they could've had trailers for those movies at the end because it is like "Beauty and the Beast" (my number one favorite movie). Ryan and Marco have a bootleg copy of the October 1986 version.
2. Marco says his copies of "Robin Hood" and "Dumbo" do not have the 1982 promo at the end, as well as "The Black Cauldron" trailer on his copy of "Pinocchio".
3. I convinced videolover that the 1984 FBI warnings are orange, meaning that the 1984 FBI warnings are orange and the 1986 FBI warnings are red, which I also convinced him of.
4. I have seen the 1997 VHS of "The Jungle Book" before, and there is no BV logo on there. You're seeing things. BTW, it is true that there are some copies that don't feature the green format screen on there, but it is also true that some copies actually had the green format screen. I have seen both of those copies before, which both do not feature the BV logo.
5. A couple of my friends have "Cool Runnings", they have the previews I mentioned on there, it is real and a later printing, I thought that needed to be added on there.
6. I didn't know that "The Sword in the Stone" was sold in a black clamshell case, I thought it was sold in white because every case is in white. I could be wrong, but I say the version in the black clamshell is the March 1986 edition, the one in the white clamshell is from May 1986, the version that doesn't feature the trailer is from June 1986, the version where the red FBI warnings slideshow came out October 1986, the version with a different tape label is from January 1987, and finally, the version where the cover doesn't have "VHS" on the bottom means it came out February 1988.
7. I think the version where it has previews came out May 1986, the version with no previews and the red FBI warnings slideshow came out October 1986 because it was still in progression of editing and due to a screw-up, the version where the red FBI warnings fade came out December 1986 because DSAS Vol. 2 came out that day and it had to be due for a repackaging, meaning that the version with the dark red FBI warnings and the VDA came out January 1987.

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
