To the unregistered user at this IP that continually improperly edits the List of Avengers members to include D-Man as a offically member instead of a non-member please stop doing so with out responding to the talk page as you are not paying attention to the page history. D-Man did not receive offical membership. There is more to becoming a member then being offered membership. If you continue edit with out engaging, administrators will be called in to either lock the page or block this IP. Spshu (talk) 03:28, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, 74.69.251.232, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

Your recent changes to the List of Avengers members, which copy earlier changes to the same effect you have made, make statements which are not supported or cited by any facts. There have been repeated comments regarding that on the talk page of the article, and your unsupported additions to the page in question have been regularly reverted. Yet, you continue to make them. Such actions qualify as at least disruptive editing, which can potentially lead to an editor being blocked, and I urge you read the pages linked to here and above before engaging in any such edits again. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. [edit] List of Avengers members

Please realize that by your recent actions on the above page you are at least technically engaging in a one-man Wikipedia:Edit war to include nonverifiable information in the article. As is indicated on that page, parties who engage in such actions can be blocked. To date, you have produced only evidence that he was offered membership by a party who was clearly not in a position to be able to formally offer such membership at the time. That, by the rules of the team as indicated in the literature, is not sufficient basis for altering content.

Your suggestions that you are "standing up" for the character in question are also I believe misguided. No one else, I believe, is actually particularly interested in the character in question one way or another, I know I'm not. What the rest of us are trying to do is do what we are all always supposed to do in wikipedia, ensure that the content meets the standards of Wikipedia:Verifiability through Wikipedia:Reliable sources, and I very strongly urge you to read all the pages I have linked to. But realize that, except possibly for you, no one on the page is trying to take a stand on any character one way or another, but rather trying to ensure the content meets our guidelines. So far as I can see, you are, through your one-man edit war to alter the content to meet your own opinions, the only party who could be seen as behaving inappropriately. Please cease such conduct. Thank you. John Carter (talk) 14:10, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
