[edit] Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits, including:
- The use of a username of your choice, provided that it is appropriate.
- The use of your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed.
- The ability to create new pages.
- The ability to rename pages.
- The ability to edit semi-protected pages.
- The ability to upload images.
- The ability to customize the appearance and behavior of the website.
- Your IP address will no longer be visible to other users.
We hope that you choose to become a Wikipedian and create an account. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have on my talk page. By the way, make sure to sign and date your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
Your recent contribution(s) to the Wikipedia article Sexual harassment are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at inline citations that best suits each article. Thanks! Xiner (talk, email) 00:35, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Casathious Jones
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Casathious Jones, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. - We discourage people from creating or editing their own article per WP:AUTO. GreenJoe 00:28, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- As for adding more reliable references, you have the run of the AFD. It is up for 7 days, to build a consensus. GreenJoe 00:31, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
When the CD comes out and the external references come out, then it can always be re-created. But as it stands now, it's what we call original research and that violates Wikipedia policy. Working on the Salvation Army is great, start a website and put up the letter, but Wikipedia isn't a free webhost. As for us doing the research for you, it doesn't work that way. The references have to be published and accessible for anyone to find without too much effort. The bottom line is, start a website. I can recommend several reputable web hosts if you need one including DrakNet and BlueFur. Your stuff belongs on a website about you, where it doesn't matter if stuff is referenced. But Wikipedia isn't that space. GreenJoe 03:14, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- Please see this section on external links. In the future, changes of the header will be reverted as vandalism. GreenJoe 15:56, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from an article. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. GreenJoe 02:46, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tag usage
Hi. The tag instructs you to explain on the talk page as to why you felt it was needed. So please do so. Thx. El_C 03:26, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
