Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Jersey Devil 02:03, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Democracy Now! Talk Page

Hello, I have removed your comments from the Democracy Now! talk page. [1] I have done this because using talk pages for political advocacy is strongly discouraged by our current policies and guidelines (see WP:SOAP and WP:TALK). Instead talk pages are meant to be used to discuss issues pertaining to content within the article to which the talk page corresponds. Also, please see WP:CIVIL with regards to the comments you placed under the section "Who the hell is Jersey Devil?". Thank you.--Jersey Devil 02:08, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add comments such as "shut the hell up" on talk pages. [2] These are violations of WP:NPA and continued use of such language may result in a block. Thank you.--Jersey Devil 02:12, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you.

P.S.: "Louisiana" only has one "n", saying it once is often sufficient. -- Infrogmation 23:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
