72 Ophiuchi (72 Oph / 72 Ophiuchi) is a Class A4, fourth-magnitude star in the constellation Ophiuchus. It sometimes called by the Greek name Phorbaceus, referring to the hero Phorbas, who saved the island of Rhodes from a plague of serpents.
72 Ophiuchi is a multiple star system of several components, located about 85 light-years from Earth.
