Hello. I continue to revert your changes to List of people who converted to Catholicism because you provide no reason for the removal of the category, and I see no reason why the category isn't appropriate. As I've noted in the page history, I will continue to revert this change unless a reason is given (because otherwise, it appears to be vandalism, honestly). If there is a reason for the change, enlighten me. Try to use edit summaries as often as possible, because it avoids confusion between editors.--C.Logan 21:55, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the notice. Of course, the reason is a page should not be in both a subcategory and a parent category. Since this is really only for ROMAN Catholic converts, it is in the appropriate Roman Catholic subcat (and need not be in the parent cat, too). If you want it to be for ALL Catholics, then please change the inclusion statement for the page. Then it would appropriately be in the Category:Lists of Christians. I hope this helps. 72.69.212.158 10:55, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm uncertain what the specification is over "Roman"; as far as I am aware, the list does indeed include any body in communion with Roman Catholicism (such as "Eastern Rite" or "Greek" Catholicism, such as the Melkites). In that respect, I am fairly certain that one can say that the list does pertain to all Catholics (in the sense of those in communion with Rome, of which there are quite a few). I understand the issue with multiple-level categories; however, as I've just noted, I don't entirely agree with your reasoning (at least with how I understand it).--C.Logan 21:56, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
  • I stand corrected. If it includes Eastern Catholic converts, then you are correct. Subcategorizing it under Roman Catholic would be incorrect. Please forgive me. 72.69.212.158 23:10, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Categories

Can you stop editing categories? You have some bizarre ideas. A category of lists of popes is exactly what it says - a list of popes goes in it and lists of other things don't. There is category of pope-related lists for lists of items that are related to popes. It's really quite straightforward. -- roundhouse0 (talk) 12:33, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
