This IP address is that of User:Licorne, who has been banned from Wikipedia by order of ArbCom (see User talk:Licorne). If you are not the above user, please feel free to contact an admin. As this IP may be occasionally used by other people, blocks should be set for non-infinite, though long, periods of time. Other admins should feel free to block at will if it appears to be Licorne evading his block (any edits to Einstein-related pages are probably Licorne). --Fastfission (talk) 14:21, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 72.186.213.96). Logging in does not require any personal details. There are many other benefits for logging in to Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page and an experienced Wikipedian will be around to answer any questions you may have.

Please note these points:

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on my Talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. ≈ jossi ≈ (talk) 20:36, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Original research and unencyclopedic additions at Iaso

Please read Wikipedia's policy concerning original research. A series of sentences with citations is sometimes still an original synthesis of evidence. In this case, there appears to be no reason to believe that any reliable source has ever connected the statements of Cyril and Clement to Madame Blavatsky's crackpot etymological theory. Moreover, that theory appears to be nonsense, based on an alleged Greek form that cannot be found in any extant Greek text or inscription (and whose existence, moreover, LSJ does not support). This is why the theory, while it might be relevant to an article on some notable publication by Madame Blavatsky, is not notable and encyclopedic information about Iaso. All this has been explained to you at Talk:Iaso. Please do not persist in adding material of this kind to the encyclopedia. Wareh 21:40, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

the well cited references totally support the section and are pertinent without question to Iaso. 72.186.213.96 21:59, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warning.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on Talk:Iaso. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.--C.Logan 23:22, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Hating" and "Bible thumpers" attacks to defend original synthesis at Talk:Iaso

This is your only warning.
The next time you make a personal attack as you did at Talk:Iaso, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Wareh 01:47, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warning: Do not add original research.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Iaso, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you.--C.Logan 22:45, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Three-revert rule

Hello, you appear to have violated Wikipedia's three-revert rule on Iaso. The following diffs show that you reverted more than three times within a 24-hour period: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]. Since you may not have been aware of the policy, you will not be blocked at this time, but further violations of the three-revert rule may result in your IP address being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please also note that no editor is entitled to three reverts per day, and editors may be blocked for lower numbers of reverts if their edits are judged sufficiently disruptive. Instead of edit warring, please try to establish consensus for your edits on the article's talk page. --Akhilleus (talk) 04:06, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

As you continued to edit war despite this warning, I've blocked you for 24 hours. In the future, please engage in discussion or, if necessary, dispute resolution. You may contest this block by adding {{unblock|Reason}}. Heimstern Läufer (talk) 07:27, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked (again)

Hello, I've blocked you again for 1 week for obsessively pushing the same nonsense at Talk:Jesus. It should be clear by now that you're not going to win consensus through your posts, yet you continue pushing the same point. If you're interested in making constructive contributions to other articles, I will happily unblock you, but it's time for you to stop ranting about the origins of Jesus' name. --Akhilleus (talk) 22:03, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked for 2 weeks

Another series of edits to Talk:Jesus, repeating a disputed statement over and over again without citing sources. --Alvestrand (talk) 00:28, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

For 3 months. Please leave Jesus and its talk page alone. This is getting really tiresome. Moreschi If you've written a quality article... 00:26, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked for 3 months

Edits to Henri Poincaré show the same behaviour User:Licorne was banned for. --Alvestrand (talk) 05:07, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
