User talk:72.139.119.165

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and write articles, however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 72.139.119.165). Logging in does not require any personal details. There are many other benefits for logging in to Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page and an experienced Wikipedian will be around to answer any questions you may have.

Please note these points:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view to edit the article; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do that.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted texts, advertisement messages, and texts that are not related to that article. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism. A user who repeatedly vandalises articles will be blocked from editing.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on my Talk page – I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.

[edit] On redirects after talk pages

Please wait at least 24 hours for other editors to have their say, you posted once and then redirected, we need a little time for review :) -- Tawker 21:21, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: your message

I took the said action because:

  1. It was an edit by an IP address of another user's page - always suspicious
  2. It was using a redundant tag - {{delete}} is no longer in use (please read it!)
  3. No reason was given for the speedy deletion, in contravention of the speedy deletion policy (please read it!).

In future, please use the correct templates for speedy deletions, and make sure your intentions are made clear in the edit summary ("{{delete}}" is hardly worth entering as an edit summary!) Thanks. Waggers 20:49, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Forgery

Please don't forge other users signatures as you did here. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 15:44, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

I did not do that, the signature was already there before I added the tags. 72.139.119.165 15:47, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about that, I must have missed it. However, the speedy delete is invalid as MARMOT was not a blocked user at the time he created the article. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 15:56, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Australia

It wasn't a test. I'm trying to fix the mess someone's made of Category:Australia Casper Claiborne 01:37, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removal

There's a paragraph you've taken out several times from Capitalism, on IEF. It's a silly paragraph, by all means. But it's a lot shorter than that seven long paragraphs that a certain persistently disruptive editor is trying to put in about all the Heritage Foundation dog-and-pony show stuff. Just leave it be. It's harmless as it is, and repeatedly removing it is just going to make the editor further disrupt the article (as she did by removing the whole section in "revenge" for your removal of a short paragraph).

Oh... and please, please, please register a username! I have a strong and inherent distrust of IP address (anonymous) editors. You have some edits that are probably yours, but without a username, I don't really know if the IP address gets assigned to different hosts over time. I know that pretty much all other high-volume editors also treat anonymous edits with a very elevated suspicion. Just choose a name, and establish a good history of edits under that name. [edit] Types of socialism

You have recently vandalized the Wikipedia article Types of socialism, and you are now being asked to stop this type of behavior. You're welcome to continue editing Wikipedia, so long as these edits are constructive. Please see Wikipedia's Blocking policy and what constitutes vandalism; such actions are not tolerated on Wikipedia, and are not taken lightly.

We hope that you will become a legitimate editor. Again, you are welcome here at Wikipedia, but remember not to vandalize or you will soon be blocked from editing.
