Bryant, on Wikipedia, if you delete large blocks of text that contains properly referenced and sourced information as does the info on Orgeron's troubled past that is considered vandalism. What you are doing is attempting to censor information and basicly spin, which I do understand is the job of an SID. However, one would it expect it from the Ole Miss AD, rather than the Alabama AD - I'm curious what your motivation what might. The article is NPOV because simply recounting the publicly known and reported on information on his past is neutral. If you have issue with specific wording (such as criminal vs. civil, juvenile wording, whatever) fix that specific issue, do not delete whole paragraphs. If you find that information on his personal issues seemingly dominates the article, expand the information on the notable parts of his career. Anyone is free to add information and correct erroneous information, but content that is verifiable should remain.
As to attack on my motives, I revert vandalism to articles on my watchlist, which Ed Orgeron is due to my previous editing of it - that is why it has my attention. I have no agenda or motivation other than abiding by the policies and guidlines of Wikipedia. When editing here, I have no bias and my edit history speaks for itself. I have reverted vandalism (childish and otherwise) on many articles related to other SEC schools including those of Alabama. As to bias against Orgeron or Ole Miss, I, quite frankly, have no strong feelings either way and why would I? As an Auburn grad and fan, they represent no rivalry to us in any sport. I am completely neutral to their fate and existence. Furthermore, your accusation is rather humorous coming from someone (if you are who you say you are) whose job is PR and marketing i.e. spin. [edit] Please discuss on talk page
Please stop reverting the article Ed Orgeron. The article contains documentation of everything it alleges from reliable sources. - Thank you for your message. I do not endorse any particular version of the article, but I will say again that I urge you to discuss this on the article talk page with other contributors and come to a consensus. I also urge you to add verifiable information rather than removing it--if you can improve the biography by adding more information and thus making it balanced, please do so. As an administrator, I do not determine the content of articles but I can and will determine how they are edited. Please also get an account so that you can better communicate with other editors. Thank you. Chick Bowen 17:38, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
