Please refrain from removing content from Wikipedia, as you did to Led Zeppelin. It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Wikipediarules2221 20:21, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Led Zeppelin. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Gdo01 16:22, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank or remove content from Wikipedia, as you did to The Beatles, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Raymond Arritt 02:18, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use for screenshots
The Wiki policy is pretty clear on that. Video screen shots can only be used i articles about the video itself. And most of those LZ images stated specifically that they were only to be used in articles about the DVD. Same goes for album covers. They can only be used in articles about the albums...or...slipped in the discography boxes(which actually shades the policy but not enough to violate it completely) You're are right in that major additions/deletions should be discussed. But if they are blatant policy violations, like WP:FU, WP:NOR, WP:NPOV, WP:CITE, WP:AWW..etc...then no discussion is required. Hope that helps. Anger22 17:16, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
That's just the point--they are in fact NOT necessarily video screen from any movie and do not have to to be treated as such. Whoever tagged them that way was wrong, period. I also think that policy on albums, if it exists, is never enforced--look up any major band to see that. 71.76.219.92 17:20, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- The covers do get enforced, albeit slow(admins can't be everywhere) And if the images are tagged incorrectly then they need to be reported to the fair use admins so that they can be deleted. Improperly tagged images are copy-vio. I, myself, don't believe the images are improperly tagged. I can ask an admin to intervene for you if you wish. However, continued reversion against wiki-policy will run you into WP:3RR...which will end up getting you blocked. Please read up on the policy more and double check all image tags( read up on [[WP:NOR and WP:MoS too) it will really help.Anger22 17:33, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
These images fall under fair use--it's quite easy to see. As for covers, there only one used out of the context of discography, and that one is used for critical analysis. You are the one that is, in a sense, vandalizing the artile without valid reason IMO. I know a lot about Led Zeppelin (I practically remade this article from scratch), and I can tell you which images are only in the movie, what year they are from, anything--so please run by me, in detail, what images are violating the policy and under what terms.71.76.219.92 17:40, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

- I forgot to give the link for reporting the possible tag errors. It's WP:PUI. In the meantime I'll get on IRC with some admins to get them to look into it further. For now, the images are tagged as screenshots which makes them vios(except maybe sneaking one from TSRTS in the section about the movie) That'll shade one in the same way abum covers get slinked into to discography sections. If you need help with WP:PUI protocol let me know. Anger22 17:47, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
So why does the wiki-policy on images say screenshots like these are usually okay if used in good faith? On the one hand you seem to say all screenshots are necessarily violations, yet this says they usually aren't.71.76.219.92 17:56, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Careful with edits
Before administrator intervention happens...see Wikipedia Project Musicians for guidelines with regards to what information is req'd in the project's infoboxes. Also read WP:NOR with regards to Wikipedia's policy regarding original research. If fact an even better link is WP:POL which contains all of Wikipedia's policies. If you need any assistance just ask. I'm reverting vandalism, so tell this to those at Moses article who insist on destroying my hard work. 71.76.219.92 03:20, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
