Dude, it's calling using your "signature." You use it by typing four tildes "~" after you edit any talk pages. Specter01010 06:49, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hey Dude, I don't give a shit, so fuck off. Also, next time use proper tense!
- Happy now? Specter01010 07:15, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- You still haven't corrected your false tense.

Can we try to be civil please? —Wknight94 (talk) 13:45, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- I guess you two could start by leaving me alone. I'm just here to edit articles—if you don't like that I don't sign my comments, then too bad.
- I'm less concerned about the comment signing and more concerned about the "fuck off" and making fun of other people's grammar. Not to mention removing other people's comments [1] and being vulgar in your very first post [2]. Not necessary. Everyone just relax. —Wknight94 (talk) 14:19, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- You know what I hate about Wikipedia? The people. In case you didn't read my earlier remark, leave me alone; find something else to do. Your two concerns do not concern me, so I don't care if they concern you.
- The people and community are an integral part of Wikipedia which is why policies like WP:CIVIL are in place. If you're unwilling to adhere to such policies, you will be blocked. —Wknight94 (talk) 15:44, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- Of course I'm perfectly willing to be civil!!! As I have said earlier, just leave me alone!!! The only reason I'm having a go at you is because Specter got me riled up telling me to sign my comments—the way he phrased it ("Dude, it's calling [sic] using your signature") sounded condesceding and somewhat elitist; there are more polite ways of saying it.
- Please, I realize you're an admin and all, but LEAVE ME ALONE!! I feel somewhat harassed with you two bothering me over these last few hours, put yourself in my shoes: I just want you to stop bothering me and LEAVE ME ALONE!!
- As I said, I do adhere to Wikipedia's policies: I have been editing articles and making contributions for over a year now (under various IP addresses) and have never stirred up any trouble because other people have LEFT ME ALONE!! ...Perhaps it could continue that way! I'm sorry if I seem 'difficult' to you, but perhaps you can imagine that you are being 'difficult' to me. I understand your job is admin, but please just let me get on with enjoying Wikipedia and editing articles like I always do (undisturbed). I understand that Wikipedia thrives because of the existence of its community (that's obvious to everyone), but I ask you to understand that I wish not to be disturbed and to be LEFT ALONE (hint hint hint).
- By the way, those two concerns you cited earlier, now that I'm kind of angry I might as well address those: First, I did not make fun of his grammar, rather I pointed out an ERROR because a good grasp of proper English is necessary for editing Wikipedia! And second, I deleted that one user's comments because THEY WERE COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT (as I pointed out in my edit summary, in case you didn't notice). As for profanity, I only rarely use profanity, in this case because Specter sounded condescending and somewhat know-it-all in his comment—I prefer polite people rather than people of his ilk (Why am I the one being singled out here? He was the one who was condescending! He may not have intended it, but I was insulted by how he told me to sign comments, which violates WP:CIVIL.)
- I'm just here to contribute, and that's what I have been doing for well over a year now. Not signing my comments does not hinder me in doing that, nor does it make it impossible for others to do so. So, you know what? Block me, and it's only going to turn me off from Wikipedia, and you'll have lost an eager contributor. I've heard others complain about the mentality of Wikipedians, and it looks like I may now join the disgruntled former editors, based on the crap (Oh gosh, excuse me!) going on here these last few hours. (Not that blocking me would even have an effect since my IP regularly changes.)
- I'm willing to be civil because that's what I have been for over a year now, and if you will just LEAVE ME ALONE (sorry for being rude, but this is really getting on my nerves) I can get on with editing articles. If you want, I can even leave a message on Specter's user discussion page telling him why I felt offended by his remark, and how I feel he could have phrased it better and less ambiguously.
- What do you say? Can we just drop this already?

Treat others the way you would treat yourself. Do not anger others and others will not anger you. There are those whom might know more or less than you. There are also those who have opposite beliefs. This is a place to post fact, not fiction, not opinion. Be sure to edit for the better, not the worse. If you know you can contribute, do so in an appropiate manner. You do not want to anger others because of a biased comment. You can change and not get banned if you gather yourself up and appologize for anything offensive said and hope the other will also appologize if he/she knows it offended you. Try making Wikipedia a better place. --Eiyuu Kou 18:03, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- No, you don't get it. The reason I replied to Specter the way I did was because I felt offended by how he told me to sign my comments. "Dude, it's called using a signature, ever heard of it?" Not very nice, I think. But thanks for the advice, however I don't need it, perhaps you could send it Specter's way.
- I think everyone's gotten the message here so let's leave him/her alone like s/he wants. I'll leave a message for Specter. But, in the future, people are going to leave you messages, 71.32.56.91, esp. if you never sign any of your posts. No one can prevent people from contacting you. You can even feel free to ignore the people contacting you, but responding with "I don't give a shit, so fuck off" is the wrong way to get people to leave you alone. Just the opposite will happen... —Wknight94 (talk) 18:11, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, good. Glad we got this settled.
