For most things like this, add the information if the source seems credible, then include a link to the source. If the source seems like a potentially untrue rumour, don't add it. There are no absolutes, just use your intuition as to whether a report is credible enough to be added. Obviously if the news is a serious allegation then the source has to be extra-credible.
