[edit] February 2007
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Vehicle insurance. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Extended coverage. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. As I mentioned, I didn't understand the submission process, and just yesterday found this page of messages. I thought I had not submitted properly and thus the links weren't published, so I resubmitted. After I found this discussion page with the warning messages I did not post again, nor will I. Please know I think it is great that you do not allow spam on wikipedia, and that you take the time to review every post. I am sorry for resubmitting my link, but I don't feel that this is an appropriate reason to reject my link, which I still believe would be quite helpful to people searching for information on auto insurance. I ask that you review my submission, and my site again, and that you not reject it based on my error submitting it multiple times. Thanks again.
- Your site has been reviewed and has been rejected because it is inappropriate, not because you posted it multiple times. Please read WP:SPAM and WP:EL which are Wikipedia's policies in this area. Your site clearly does not meet Wikipedia's requirements for an external link and will not be allowed on Wikipedia. We simply are not a link farm for sites like this. If you continue to post this link after the block expires you will be blocked again and your site may be blacklisted from all MediaWiki sites worldwide. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but this is exactly the sort of site that the volunteer who run Wikipedia spend hundreds of hours a day stopping. Gwernol 12:44, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

- Hi. You've got two separate issues here:
- You're blocked. That's something to sort out on your user talk page here with admins who review blocks. They may or may not be very involved with spam and external link reviews (Gwernol is very familiar). My own suggestion is to just wait it out.
- You still want to post those links. I suggest raising that issue at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spam once you become unblocked; that's probably a better venue since the volunteers there are very used to dealing with these sorts of issues. Be sure to reference this talk page exchange when you do and start a new section for your discussion there by using the little "+" tab at the top of the page using accidentautoinsurance.com as the section title (without the http:)
