It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from United States presidential election, 1800. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Xiner (talk, email) 20:20, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Please don't change correct spellings within the context of an article. For example, "whisky" is the correct spelling for Scotch whisky; "whiskey" is used for Irish whiskey and in North America. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 09:26, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove content from Wikipedia, as you did to Carlos Fonseca. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. ≈ The Haunted Angel (The Forest Whispers My Name) 00:10, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:09, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your message
First, please sign your comments (with four tildes: ~~~~), otherwise clairvoyance or tedious detective work is needed to work out who left it.
Secondly, you've been warned before about removal of content, so you should realise that this is not acceptable. A previous edit summary tells us that you don't think that the source is sfficient — but that's something that needs to be discussed. You don't just remove the text and its source yourself, with no attempt to explain and argue your case at the Talk page. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 22:35, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- One thing that I see immediately from the discussion page: you haven't participated. The other thing that I notice is that nothing there justifies your unilateral removal of the material. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 22:42, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- One comment by one editor does not justify your contention that the Talk page backs up your action in removing content. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 23:10, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
You seem determined to draw me in to a debate on content; I'm discussing the correctness of your actions in the light of Wikipedia guidelines, and of normally acceptable conduct in a debate. It's as if I'd corrected someone's spelling of "ecdysone", and she insisted that I was only entitled to do so if I was an expert on insect hormones... --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 23:40, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism warning
It is vandalism to remove links to articles like Second Party System because you disagree with political science. Please stop. Rjensen 00:28, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- I just think way too much weight is being put on what amounts to a narrow scholarly category for American history. If you want to put it in "See Also," fine. But please don't polute -- especially the biographyies -- with statements like "He was a leader of the third party system." The party system designation is merely one of many, many techniques for understanding American history. Let's not go overboard with it, eh? (I wish I could replay as much on your user page, but you've blocked me.) 71.139.33.169 00:33, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
