Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Purple. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - In response to comment here...
- I'm sorry, I gave you the wrong warning template. I was trying to post messages on two pages at once and must have gotten you confused with someone else. Edits such as "Corey call me back" really do not belong in Wikipedia articles, and can be considered vandalism if done repeatedly. If you'd like to talk to another user, you can post a message on their talk page as you did on mine.
- The user warning templates such as the one I posted above are mainly intended to inform users of when an edit they have made has been removed for a violation of policy or other reason. If you follow the link I just gave, there are quite a lot of them for quite a large number of purposes. There really isn't a "simple, obvious reply mechanism"... the important part is that you got the message and understand what needs to be fixed. From what you said, I can see that you are trying to understand that, for which I thank you. If you're ever not sure about how something should work on Wikipedia, try taking a look at our help pages. If you can't find the answer to your question there, you can place the code {{helpme|your question}} on your talk page here, and someone will be by to help you out, or you can post a question at the Help Desk where experienced users such as myself answer questions all the time.
- If you are considering making more contributions to Wikipedia, I would also suggest that you create an account. It doesn't take that long, and protects your privacy by hiding your IP address, among other benefits. Thanks for contacting me, and happy editing. Hersfold (talk/work) 02:35, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
