I was a bit frustrated since my first attempt at participating was reverted as "vandalism" :(
No problem. There are a couple of things you can do to lessen the chances of your edits being reverted.
  • The first is to create an account and add something to your user page. People will tend to give more credence to a real user than an anonymous editor
  • The second is to add the nature/reason for your edit into the edit summary. People can at least understand why you made the edit.
When I check the Recent changes page, if I see anons w/o an edit summary, then my first thought is that it might be vandalism.
But don't let reverts get you discouraged. My first big edit got reverted also. Think of it as a learning experience. ;^) wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 13:22, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
