Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your recent edit to Glossary of cue sports terms and wanted to say hi. Here are some recommended guidelines to help you get involved. Please feel free to contact me if you need help with anything. By the way, I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.) Best of luck and happy editing! Fuhghettaboutit 23:07, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pool

Please do not add any more notes to the eight-ball and straight pool articles attempting to differentiate them; only very pool-inexperienced people don't know the differences, and even reading the articles' intros makes it clear that they are different. The game your friends are thinking of is "straight eight" or "straight eight-ball", otherwise known as "bar pool" or "bar eight-ball", and all you have to do is explain this to them. The editors here have seen no evidence than any of our readers are confused with regard to the two articles in question. :-) — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 03:39, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
