[edit] External sites
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Robert Gallo. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MastCell Talk 03:59, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Robert Gallo. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - If RspnsblMn recalls correctly, documents were cited and links (external) to them were provided. Why is linking to an html presentation of a document improper? Why does MastCell consider doing so "spamming," "advertising," and "promotion?" On what basis are the links "inappropriate?" RspnsblMntalk 00:58, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edit warring
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Robert Gallo. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. MastCell Talk 07:07, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, which you did here: Robert Gallo. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. MBisanz talk 07:09, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- Specifically, attempting to "out" editors with whom you're in a conflict is forbidden by our harassment policy. I've asked outside administrators to review your conduct. MastCell Talk 07:38, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
