[edit] Personal attacks on Wikipedia
Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. --Jackhorkheimer 07:32, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Common now.
Isn't this my user pagina?
- No. First off, to have something resembling your user page, you'd have to register to Wikipedia. This is just your IP's page, which could be anyone who uses the same computer, network, or even provider as you. Second off, this is a talk page, which means it will be used by other people to communicate with you. Third, even if you are registered, you still may not make personal attacks on "your" pages: as the user page guideline says, "Community policies, including Wikipedia:No personal attacks, apply to your user space just as they do elsewhere." Also like it says, "pages in user space still do belong to the community." And: "Other users may edit pages in your user space, although by convention your user page will usually not be edited by others." If you're looking for a place to express yourself, you might consider one of the many good free web hosting solutions, Freehostia being particularly good. --Jackhorkheimer 20:06, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
