User talk:70.243.80.195
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This host, ppp-70-243-80-195.dsl.austtx.swbell.net, is registered to SBC Internet Services; Austin, TX, an Internet service provider through which numerous individual users may connect to the Internet via proxy. This IP address may be reassigned to a different person when the current user disconnects.
For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.
If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.
Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.
Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation. |
[edit] Welcome
Hello! I've noticed that you have edited Wikipedia without logging in to an account. It's great that you've been contributing; however, I urge you to create an account. Here is a list of the benefits of having an account:
- You can create new pages
- You can use watchlists
- You can upload images
- You can keep your account from being unfairly blocked if you share an IP address
- You can use scripts to better fight annoying vandalism
- After four days, you can edit semi-protected pages
- After a while, you might be able to become an administrator
There are no cons to signing up for an account. In fact, you can find even more pros at the "why create an account" page! Signing up is completely free and you don't need to enter any personal information! Plus you can have a user page, which you can use to show your interests, style, or nearly whatever! So, unless you can think of a con, please sign up for an account right now! Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 01:30, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Copyvio on WP:ANI
Hi there, to be honest I don't quite understand what you mean. Anyway I'm sorry if I reverted any of your edits which were made by you in good faith. I checked the page's history and there have been many other revisions after my reversion, hence I'm not able to undo my reversion. However if you're sure what you're doing is correct, please redo it and I'll not interfere. However, please bring up this matter with other Wikipedians who had also reverted your edits after I did as they may continue undoing it. Sorry again for any inconveniece. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and have a good day. S3000 ☎ 12:17, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- Oh ya, and you may remove the warning I left you if you don't desire it to be here. Thanks. S3000 ☎ 12:20, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

- This is a second warning. Please do not remove material posted by other editors, as you did at WP:ANI. Continued editing in this manner could be viewed as Disruptive. Thank you. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 20:54, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

- Fair enough, I missed that note - but the tag you used to indicate where the violation occured is not appropriate to a non-article. Not sure what to replace it with, but that's what triggered my revert. Apologies. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 20:57, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
