Let's have some proof, please

I'm accused by User:Jayjg of being a User:WordBomb sockpuppet, as supposedly Confirmed by Checkuser.

I hereby waive any rights to the contrary and officially ask User:Jayjg to reveal in this space the checkuser evidence which he claims "confirms" that I am a sockpuppet of Wordbomb or anybody.

In fact, I insist on Jayjg either presenting the evidence or remove the block in order to clear my (IPs) good name.

You're up, Jayjg. --70.218.34.233 19:10, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

OK it's not funny anymore

Request reason: "because I'm innocent and can't even see the "evidence" against me. Unblock long enough to see what they claim I did to sockpuppet."

Decline reason: "You know full well that we cannot and do not reveal CheckUser evidence, for reasons of both privacy and WP:BEANS, WordBomb. You are done here. Please leave gracefully. It's for the best. -- ЯEDVERS 21:26, 16 November 2006 (UTC)"

Request reason: "I think you're missing the point...I'm not asking to be unblocked...I'm saying I didn't deserve to be blocked to begin with. I have nothing to do with WordBomb, other than agree with him one one point. At worst, this is a ruse to keep me from saying things Jimbo would rather avoid. At best your methods are flawed and you got a false positive. The bottom line is I was wrongly blocked and I want to prove it. If not, I want to hear from Jayjg that I can't inspect the "evidence." At the very least I want to hear from him that any evidence even exists because I'm certain it does not. --70.218.34.233 00:19, 17 November 2006 (UTC)"

Request reason: "So you're telling me there is no check on checkuser authority? That one person, can accuse another of being WordBomb as a form of summary wikicution and there's no appeal? Damn. That's really scary. Just as a matter of principle, will someone else with checkuser please look at Jayjg's "findings" so you can see firsthand that he's either wildly mistaken or lying? That's probably somethng you should at least be aware of. --70.218.34.233 05:37, 17 November 2006 (UTC)"

Decline reason: "Checkuser usage is routinely internally audited. Due to privacy laws in the United States, its data is only made publicly available on subpoena. Request reason: " Many, many, many thanks for directing me to that little bit of policy, Netsnipe. It reads:

It is the policy of Wikimedia that personally identifiable data collected in the server logs, or through records in the database via the CheckUser feature, may be released by the system administrators or users with CheckUser access, in the following situations:...

  1. In response to a valid subpoena or other compulsory request from law enforcement
  2. With permission of the affected user.
I believe condition #2 was met earlier today when I asked for the data that applied to me (the affected user) to be released. I restate that request now.--70.218.34.233 06:09, 17 November 2006 (UTC)"
