"Spelt" is not exclusively British English, so you are incorrect there. I have decided not to change it back. HOWEVER, when you changed "emphasises" to "emphasize", you made the sentence grammatically incorrect. Also, "emphasises" was the spelling already in the article before (check the last update by Cluebot and ones before that) so that's how it should be left, according to the Manual of Style.
You don't seem to realise that I went to a lot of trouble fixing the quotations in that article. You have a go at me, incorrectly, for changing "spelled" to "spelt" but that is NOT exclusively English, so get your facts right before you insult me.
