[edit] Patrick Ruffini
Regarding my denial of the Patrick Ruffini article at AfC, it is correct that I am a Canadian with no special knowledge of American politics (aside from being married to an American, and watching Stewart and Colbert). However, as part of my work at AfC I'm often called to make decisions on topics unfamiliar to me... musicians and DJs I've never heard of, authors and internet "celebrities" I've never heard of, guns and tanks that I know nothing about. If I only reviewed the AfC entries that I was already familiar with, and the few other AfC reviewers that're regularily active did the same, most of the AfC entries would go unreviewed at all. Instead we simply review what's infront of us, based on the information that's presented. In the case of that entry, there was very little information given, it basically seemed to say he was just a webmaster, and all of the sources were either blogs, or written by the subject himself.
However, AfC reviews are not in anyway binding, so if you would like to relist your entry on AfC for it to be reviewed again, I'll leave it for somebody else to look at, and let them decide what happens with it. --Maelwys 14:05, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
I'll resubmit. The problem with internet operatives is their work product are blogs and are covered by blogs. As a result, you may not find much in the dead tree media.
I would submit managing of web operations for a major party U.S. presidential candidate is notable without any further documentation owing to the hundreds of millions of page visits, but I suppose that could be a matter of opinion.
