[edit] Swinging

Just wanted to let you know that I replaced my comments on Talk:Swinging that you had inadvertently deleted when adding your own comments.

Here's basically how I feel about external links in that article -- if the link follows WP:EL, or if clicking on the link provides more information that's not already included in the article, I don't have a problem with it. If the link just points to one of the many "profile" sites (BTW, I have an odd feeling that you're affiliated with one particular site, and if it's the one I'm thinking of, I'm a lifetime member there), or one of the many "party/club/meet-and-greet" sites, etc., then it's pretty much a spamlink.

I thought the Nightline report added information not (yet) in the article -- thus the link there. It's not an ad for ABC News in any sense. To be honest, I hadn't combed through the entire article as you have, looking for embedded links -- I was focused only on those appearing in the "External Links" section of the page.

To summarize, I think that we probably agree more than we disagree on this particular topic. That's one of the great things about a wiki -- everyone working together makes the whole encyclopedia better. Thanks for your contributions. --OscarTheCat3 22:12, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
