[edit] Other notices
Please note that the link you removed from Theodore_Dru_Alison_Cockerell was not pornographic (as you stated in the edit summary) and has been reverted. I'm assuming it was removed in good faith, however please check links before removing them, thanks. (diff) -- Zarius 22:29, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove content from Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 23:47, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
- Why would you revert edits that I made to MY OWN user talk page? - mostly, because it appeared that you were removing warnings left by other users. The warnings serve two purposes - the first so you get the message and read the relevant policies; the other purpose is to allow others to see that you've been notified of something, and that if you still decide to ignore other users' requests, so that relevant actions may be considered. Reading it again, I see that the the other message I copied back was not a warning - so I apologize for that. But please do not blank articles such as Huntingdon (electoral district) without reason. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 23:59, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank out (or delete portions of) page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to User talk:70.16.253.128, you will be blocked from editing. --StuffOfInterest 00:17, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Response to my talk page
It is wikipedia policy that talk page info, anon IPs and registered users, are to be kept on talk page, and if archived, then a direct link is made available on the talk page. The purpose of this is for tracking and enables the admins on wiki to make a decision whether the user merits any sort of disciplinary action, such as blocking the user/IP address from making any edits to the site for X amount of time.
Attempts to "blank" out the pages and say that it can be kept in the history is generally seen as vandalism and merits warnings and eventually blockage if continued. Your history in particular demonstrates why this policy is in place. Several occasions you blanked out the talk information on this page, thus allowing your IP to slip by several admins who should have blocked your attempts to make edits to this page, but since they did not see all available information on the talk page, then you got by with warnings.
Another issue is that if you wish to stay as an anon IP, you must know that your work will be examined very closely as 90-95 percent of the vandalisms that occur on this site are done by anon IP users. In addition, since an IP address is generally NOT OWNED by person or corporation, unless you're editing from a government/corporate company range of IP addresses, to say that you own this talk page is a bit of an exaggeration.
Either case, I hope that clears the air a bit. If you do wish to contribute to the community, please register a username and make edits via that way. Remember, talk page information is to be kept online and available for system admins and others who may need a clear history of what type of activity was executed from the IP address/username. --LifeStar 20:21, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Second response
First, archival of talk messages have a certain procedure. One thing is this talk page has too many recent transactions, notice that on mine, I didn't archive until over a year's worth. Some other people or pages have to archive sooner just because of the vast amount of 'talking' that is occuring. Wiki policy on archiving talk pages can be found here: Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page
Second, I do not have the power to unlock your talk page. I am not a system admin, just a fellow registered wiki user who noticed the efforts of some admins who were dealing with this IP address. If you want this talk page unlocked, then you'll need to take it up with a system admin. Plus, they probably will want to feel confident enough that you wouldn't just blank this page, again.
Third, please read up on this article on types of vandalism and why your blanking the talk page was seen as one.

[edit] Third and final response
I understand how my actions in restoring your talk page record may be taken as a sign of bad faith in you, but I simply wanted to restore the proper record of the transactions that have taken place, and followed along the evidence that I had encountered. As for your comment about the need for me to review the proper policies, please take a look at Wikipedia:Assume the assumption of good faith. --LifeStar 19:04, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Page protection
Regarding your post on my talk page, if you wish to have the protection removed on your talk page, please make a request at WP:RFPP. This will allow an uninvolved party to review the situation and decide if it is prudent to remove the protection. Thank you. --StuffOfInterest 11:42, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
