6th Philippine Legislature (1922–1925)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The elections for the 6th Philippine Legislature were dominated by two issues raised before the electorate: the first was the attitude that should prevail concerning relations between the executive, personified by the Governor-General of the Philippines, and the Filipino leadership in government, personified by Senate President Manuel L. Quezon and Speaker Sergio Osmeña. The second issue was the parliamentary leadership style of Speaker Osmeña versus the republican model espoused by Senate President Quezon.
