6park is a popular Chinese Internet forum specializing in community-written news. It is a "mega-BBS" with forums for subjects as diverse as economics, health, and politics, but its style is unique and unrelated to other mega-BBSes such as 2channel.
It is often critical of the Chinese government and for that reason is frequently blocked by Chinese censors, but it has a large community of overseas Chinese students and expatriates from around the world.
It has been mentioned in news sources such as Hua Sheng Online as a way for Chinese people living overseas to get news.[1] Though the website do provide reliable news from China, it is also a source of tabloid news that can not be confirmed.
The website also contains a section that is for adult materials such as pornographic films, pictures and so on.
Some of the content available on 6park, however, are graphic in nature and viewer discretion for minors is advised.
6park discussion forum is famous for contributors with extreme views, both pro-Chinese government and anti-Chinese Government. This often led to full blooded debates on the forum. Though certain rules have been installed for more productive debate, personal insults are still very frequent within the forum.
