Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Sonny Perdue. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. "How do I turn the Sonny Purdue entry from appearing as commentary to wiki accepted documentation"
No apology needed; it's a common error, especially if you're new to Wikipedia. The first part of your edit about the drought was OK. Some would argue that it needs a source, but to me that's splitting hairs. The part about irony, however, is your interpretation, which is not allowed in Wikipedia because it is subject to bias and considered original research. The statement that it rained, in my opinion, is off topic because the real issue was public prayer by a government official acting in his capacity as governor. Whether or not it rained is irrelevant to that issue and, in some ways, implies that the prayers did or did not have an effect (which, again is POV, albeit less straightforward). Some might disagree with me on that last point, but I think most Wikipedians who are familiar with the required tone and policies for Wikipedia would agree. My personal advice is to leave it out. Happy editing! Ward3001 20:30, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
