[edit] Domestic violence

You have been making some good and some not so good edits to the domestic violence article. At times, it clearly makes sense to use gender neutral language, but be very careful where you do it to insure you are not changing what our cited sources are saying. For example, the "Study on Women's Health and Domestic Violence against Women 2005" put out by the WHO does NOT shed new light on the prevalence of violence against... men. Similarly, Dutton's psychological profile is specific of men and Holtzworth-Munroe and Stuart are describing men as well (note the paper we are citing is called "Typologies of Male Batterers"). Please be more careful in your changes in the future. Also, you have blanked sourced content. I'm going to restore some of the longstanding sourced content. I'm concerned that you are erasing sources that you disagree with personally, which goes against NPOV which says that all notable POVs (even ones we disagree with) should be given appropriate weight. If you still feel the content should be removed, why not start a talk page topic with your proposals for others to examine. -Andrew c [talk] 01:29, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
