[edit] Re: Articles for Deletion process
Hello – thanks for the message. You didn't use AFD – you used the proposed deletion process instead, which doesn't yield or require a discussion page. This means the article can be deleted after five days _if_ no one has removed the prod tag. Anyone, including the article's creator, can remove the prod tag, which will take it out of the group of proposed deletions for the day it was nominated (in this case, January 18).
The usual form is to do just what you've done: propose deletion in the method you just used, and wait for either the five days to expire or for the tag to be removed. If it's removed, and you still feel it should be deleted, nominate it for AFD using the steps described here. An alternative: you can remove the prod tag you just placed and nominate it for AFD today, but if I were you I'd let the five days run to see what happens.
If your prod nomination is contested (meaning someone takes the prod tag off) and you need help or a check to see if you've nominated it for AFD correctly, just ask (although I'm signing off for tonight right now). If you register for an account, you can track the article's fate on a watchlist of your own; you can register yourself or an account can be created for you. Thanks again, and I'll see you soon! - KrakatoaKatie 09:20, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
