[edit] Parallel Cousins

"The source is cited right at the bottom of the page, under External Links": That's not the proper way to cite a source. One more time: read WP:CITE.

"I must note that none of the other content on that page has anything resembling an academically legitimate source. ... If my contributions are not cited properly, then nothing on that page is": I am always astounded to see that kind of reasoning from an editor. Other errors do not justify your errors. With that kind of reasoning, Wikipedia articles would never improve, only sink to the lowest common denominator.

"If the citation is inappropriately formatted, why would you not fix it?": Because it's not my responsibility. Editors have the responsibility to source their own edits, not rely on others to do it for them.

Let me make one more suggestion: either register and edit under a username (it's free and easy), or edit from the same IP. Other editors have no way of knowing if you're the same editor if you edit from a different IP each time you edit. Ward3001 (talk) 19:55, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Edit warring

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Parallel cousin. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Ward3001 (talk) 19:56, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
