Unnecessary prod/speedy tagging of newly-created pages

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. James Reitano et al.

Hi there. Good work on the reverting of the obvious vanity edits and the prodding of the articles. I left (many) messages at User_talk:Tfustudios but the editor continues to ignore them. My concern, however, is that the articles will be deprodded. I will be happy to assist with WP:AFD for TFU Studios, James Reitano, and Crime Time cartoon. If you want to nominate them, I'll lend my support; if you prefer that I nominate them, I would appreciate your support. MKoltnow 04:05, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I think all the articles should be deleted, and if an AFD will be necessary, go ahead. I am actually an established user, but for now I'm going incognito, just because I feel like it. Anyway, it's not technically feasible for me to start an AFD subpage without an account. Thank you. 69.201.182.76 04:26, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Good point! I just cannot imagine that the prods will last five days without being deprodded. And actually I have a wikibreak coming up so I won't be around to start the AfD if I don't start it soon. I'll check tomorrow to see if the prod tags are still there; if they're gone I'll start AfD. P.S. please continue talk on your page unless it starts on my page, thanks. Hello

I don't believe you need to clear the userpages of inactive users - after all, clearing a page is not the same thing as deleting it. --Ali 04:37, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Great work

Hi, thanks for prodding the userpages of editors who have made any mainspace edits. You should not blank the userpages of inactive users (eg. User:Tsibley) or prod talk pages (as you did to User talk:Dreamview). Talk pages serve as a record; User talk:Dreamview has a warning message and a welcome message -- the Hebrew part is nonsense, though. As about blanking, it doesn't serve any purpose -- it doesn't save space. Keep up the good work :) utcursch | talk 16:56, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Yea he is right like what you did to User:MOiRe use the DB note next time. Cocoaguy ここがいい contribstalk 18:20, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Sometimes when it's very short I'll just blank it. I don't really have a handle on how the community deals with these user pages. I'm still trying to figure out the right balance. 69.201.182.76 18:37, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Injustice sk8r's userpages

Hello! We invite everyone to contribute to our encyclopedia, and appreciate your enthusiasm in patrolling new pages. However, I have removed the speedy deletion tag you put on User:Injustice sk8r, because I felt the page didn't meet the criteria for speedy deletion . Please read up on about criteria for speedy deletion if you haven't read it, or if you have any questions or doubts before placing the tag. Thank you. Evilclown93 23:03, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm not a sysop (yet, but maybe later), but I do help with some admin tasks, though. Evilclown93 21:08, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Tagging of User:Njh1976

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on User:Njh1976. I do not think that User:Njh1976 fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because this is not really blatent advertising, it is just a statemetn that this person has a position in a local organization.. I request that you consider not re-tagging User:Njh1976 for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. DES (talk) 16:02, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

I read his intention from the fact that he put the same link in Neighborhood association. I now removed the link but left the text there. I think that's a fair compromise. 69.201.182.76 16:05, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
I don't. Look at WP:USER, including where it says: "Some people add information about themselves as well, possibly including contact information (email, instant messaging, etc)," Have you tried discussing with thsi user on his talk page, instead of just editing his user page? Taking the link out of the article was correct, but that may have been just ignorance -- many new editors get quite confused. if he is a spammer, it will soon show. Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Ian McKnight (aids), you will be blocked from editing. ~EnviroboyTalkContribs - 01:11, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Template

I was asking for the template that goes on the bottom of the article. You know the one that has the list of the artist's discography and singles. Quetzal123 22:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanx for your help Quetzal123 02:30, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget to be civil

Concerning [1], you have to be WP:CIVIL. Good job with all the work you do. MKoltnow 19:35, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
