[edit] Wikipedia:External links
Please discuss in the talk page of the page to search for consensus about removing that section. I am going to add a small agreed change to that section which would cover most cases you talked about, though. -- ReyBrujo (talk) 16:24, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Consensus seemed pretty obvious, given that I've never seen anybody complain about NYT, WP, LAT, &c. &c. links. Looks like someone got a little rule-happy. 69.17.73.214 (talk) 16:27, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing at Wikipedia:External links. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you.
Please come to the talk page to discuss, you are about to break the three-revert rule. When you change the page and someone reverts, you should go discuss instead of trying again. Discussing through edit summaries is bad. I have modified the section to show that sites requiring registration are acceptable if they are used as inline citations, which covers most of the uses of sites like Wall Street Journal and New York Times. -- ReyBrujo (talk) 16:34, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] January 2008
Hi, the recent edit you made to Wikipedia:External links has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. - Hi -- that was a constructive edit, I'm afraid! 69.17.73.214 (talk) 16:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
